Services Offered:

Consultation – Advice is usually free because it is a word of… It might last a few seconds. We will present you with a consultation about all aspects of a particular project. So many different entities are involved with every lighting design for the optimum outcome.

Design       –       To design anything, one has to be creative and original. We will use your thoughts of what you are picturing in your mind to create the lighting accents. The design begins with the client’s imagination and what they picture in their mind. Once that plateau is reached, thoughts can be sketched. Now is when creative juices are flowing to develop a design to draw.

Sales          –        Sales are sales. There is not much to say about this service. When a client purchases a product through Barolo LLC, they will take care of the sale. Plain and simple.

Installation –     An installation can be temporary or permanent. Installations normally refer to lights that are placed in a position permanently. Usually, Installs are in or on a building for an extended period of time. Permanent means until it breaks and must be replaced. This is when maintenance, upkeep, and repairs are configured into the installation.

Productions –     Shows and Live Events are in and out the same day and are referred to as such. It usually takes one day to load the equipment into the venue, set it up, perform the show, strike the gear, and load out. The Musical part of the industry is the largest user of the in-and-out method. All shows are produced within a specific time period according to the amount of gear, work, and labor needed to complete the project.

Additional Services offered are as follows.

Production Manager:   The person in charge of everything for an entire crew every single part of the day of a show at a venue. From trucking to hospitality to security, production to performers, etc. The key part is making the production crew comfortable. A PD must make all the different parts click and work together properly.

Stage Manager:            The person in charge of the entire stage. What they say goes. The stage manager must coordinate all of the different crews of a production. Each and every entity of a show needs time for set-up, changeovers, show, and load-out. The Stage Manager is the person responsible for all of this coordination.

Crew Chief:                   Crew Chief is of the utmost importance. It carries a crucial position ( Hat to Wear ). Responsibilities become extremely close-knit. The Crew Chief is a working hand leading the crew to the completion of the immediate project while observing and directing or redirecting technicians.

Lighting Director:       The Lighting Director calls all of the cues during an event as it is performed live. In many instances, the LD is also the programmer and the board operator.

Programmer:                The Programmer is the person who programs all of the looks and scenes onto the lighting console before the performance. A close connection is needed between the Programmer and the Lighting Designer. This is a crucial connection to program the best looks and scenes for the production.

Board Operator:           The board or console operator pushes all of the buttons and faders on the lighting console during the live performance. The huge responsibility is keeping in time as the show progresses.

Technician:                    I learned and developed myself into a technician! OKAY!! A technician is a broad term! A lighting technician is a person who will do every single task needed to be completed for a show of any and every type. The techs must build the entire show with the labor provided. Unloading trucks, building trusses, hanging lighting fixtures, running cable, setting dimmer beach up, making all of the connections, focus, effects, etc… The techs operate any effects or any needed triggers during the show when the board operater has zero control  of those parameters.

Electrician:                    Electricians are to be educated about electricity. If used improperly, injury can happen! Electricians and the knowledge are needed to produce any show.

Rigger:                            Riggers are the people who climb up into the ceiling and connect the points for anything suspended overhead. Such as trusses, speakers, video walls,  set pieces, and such… Somebody has to do it. Climbers become Riggers. I used to climb trees when I was growing up. As George Carlin said, “Get down from there. You will break your neck.” I was never afraid of heights.
